Red Bubong

The first HS73 Milestone Project in early 2008. At the August 2007 CHSNAF Conference in Toronto, Canada, the sad state of the Mendiola campus was shown by Lorraine and Robert Sylianteng in a video presentation to the conference attendees. Quick to jump to help out our beloved alma mater, a group of HS73 alumnae in the meeting initiated and embarked on the RED BUBONG PROJECT, to replace the hazard-prone roofing on the walkway from the Grade School building leading to the cafeteria. That area is fondly remembered as where we would usually sit and hang out during recess and breaks in grade school and high school if not engaged in some sports activity.

Movers and shakers L to R: Beth Reyes Favila, Ditas Artiaga, Cynch Gonzales Yu, Jenny Martinez, Lorraine Young Sylianteng, Teacher Becky Soqueno, Yayu Eloriaga Javier, Gene Robes, Grace Songcuya Mascenon and Gigi Sangalang Cruz
