AKAP - SBFI Build a School,      Build a Nation

CHSM HS73 GOLDEN JUBILEE LEGACY PROJECT

Security Bank Foundation, Inc (SBFI), was established in 1993 as Security Bank Corporation's corporate social responsibility arm.  Since its inception, SBFI has advocated for education as a long-term solution for poverty alleviation through its various programs such as building classrooms, continuous training and development of teachers and providing scholarships to deserving students. SBFI believes that by ensuring a better quality of education for the Filipino youth, a better future for the nation is being set in place.

CHSM Class HS73 partnered with SBFI in its Knowledge Transfer Project through the Knowledge Channel Foundation.   The Knowledge Channel Portable Media Libraries (KCPML), an external hard disc drive loaded with more than 1500 DepEd curriculum-based video lessons, e-games and e-session guides, are provided to its public school partners across the country. These media libraries are supplemental self-learning modules for the students for a better understanding of their lessons;  they are designed for a more interactive way of learning at home.  HS73’s gift will be used to fund the Knowledge Channel discs for the following schools:    (1) Tuguegarao West Central School  (2) Camarines Sur National High School  (3) Laguna Resettlement School  (4) San Jose City National High School and (5) San Pablo Elementary School.  There are plans for a follow up phase for this project.
